I may or may not have fallen in love with this woman...

HELP!!! I'm a Faller now too, in a different way. Seriously though, if you would have told me a few months ago that they'd take someone I never even remotely cared about in the series like Anabel and told me that she'd now become my absolute FAVORITE girl in the entire Pokemon franchise.. I'd have laughed in your face. Yet here we are, in this weird new timeline we find ourselves living in now... THIS IS THE POWER OF SUN AND MOON and god do I love it. And I love Anabel! (♡∀♡#)

Spoilers for anyone who has yet to enter and finish the postgame:

Omg something I love so much about her is how caring she is for all Pokemon even extraterrestrial and or dimensional ones like the Ultra Beasts! It makes me so freaking happy how she just wants to help keep them from being the subjects of vivitopsy and experimentation, even if that's what the higher ups want the most. Not to mention I get the vibe the rest of the UB Defense Force besides her and Looker don't exactly take to UBs kindly or sympathetically after what happened ten years ago. Anabel's just such a kind soul and her obliviousness to her true reason she was appointed chief of the division is just so sad and seriously messed up. Yet even if she found out, I feel she'd welcome it if it means she can help bring UBs to safety in her care as bait and not those who would want to hurt them! Gosh I love love looooove Ultra Beasts, these guys are legit one of the best things to ever happen to the series. It breaks my heart how the poor things just don't understand what's going on, are scared, probably even more-so by the panicking humans they're inciting around them, and aren't malevolent at all and just wanna go home!!!

And I headcanon that if the player had not been there, Anabel would have found and captured all of the rogue ones and help make them feel at home now under her care!! I keep imagining Anabel with a full team of UBs keeping them around Interpol HQ and her office, everyone else will be so scared but meanwhile Anabel knows the truth about how they're just like any other Pokemon once you give them a little love and affection.

I like to imagine that Kartana are some of the most mischievous out of all the UBs! And take advantage of their small stature and paper thin bodies to hide themselves and do peek-a-boo with their trainers. Anabel's Kartana does it to people all across the Interpol Agency and they're always calling it a nuisance and threat to staff safety even though it's just having fun and not hurting anyone. It loves to surprise Anabel more than anyone though by always hiding itself in her files and paper stacks she has to sift through on a daily basis. It sometimes does that same trick more than once in one day! It honestly got old ages ago, but she loves to see how happy it makes it when it does it to her, so she always makes sure to laugh and smile for it so as not to disappoint. The smile is genuine anyways because the sight of it happy is all she needs.

_{I've actually sketched a few other things like this while at work, one of about every UB actually so might color more of them eventually.. I'm really obsessed with her haha. If I did another which Ultra Beast would you guys want to see next?}
