And the second piece for the original NES Metroid!! This time with Kraid, but a little one as well, Mini-Kraid!
FAKER!!
My whole life I always loved imagining the fake Kraid you encounter in this and Super Metroid isn't actually a clone or simply another member of the same species but literally Kraid's child. It makes it so much cuter that way!! Albeit far sadder that you end up killing the poor thing, gosh, especially when you're like me and overthink everything. Like do you ever wonder just exactly how intelligent are Ridley and Kraid? They must have some sentience considering they're generals of the Pirate forces!! Heck, Ridley had total control after Mother Bran died so I don't think they're just stupid animals!
OH GOSH what if in this and Super Metroid the little Mini-Kraid is visiting Dad, it was take your child to work day on the Space Pirate Zebes Facility and you killed it!!!

Then you go and did Crocomire in the same day, she's a monster! Maybe killing the baby Kraid helped her appreciate the Metroid's sacrifice and their relationship even more later though...

I never cared for Kraid much in the actual games past the original Metroid, something I think would be so cool though if they ever bring him back is to make an entire area of the future game based not just around but IN Kraid. Like, make a Super Kraid, that's so freaking gigantic he's completely immobile and you don't even realize til you've mapped almost the entire area you are in that you've been walking on his body, through fat fold tunnels, fighting parasites and such. It'd be so freaky!!
