Ace

Ace!
Ace is a bit of a social outcast, all his life he has preferred the company of computers and books to that of people. As such he is very socially inept and awkward, but very intelligent in many fields. Ace loves a vast array of subjects but biology, cryptozoology, and the paranormal are his favorites. He's like a living database when it comes to the unexplained, so oftentimes he is the most invested and amazed of the crew when it comes to adventures in space or meeting with an alien species he's yet to have been told about by Cephie Tracie or Squish. Ace is extremely non-athletic, yet ironically he has harbored a huge crush on the town's star athlete Sharon Suave since elementary, pretty much as long as he can remember. And knowing Ace he has bottled up that crush forever relegating it to nothing more than fantasy dates when he goes to sleep at night having never said a word to Sharon more than “do you n-n-need a sheet of p-paper?...”.SEE WHAT I MEAN? He's freaking socially awkward man! He's a complete shut-in and has been for ages, after he got his first computer in the sixth grade it became his best and only true friend, when he isn't working diligently on his schoolwork he's busy exploring forums and researching. That's where his name comes from actually, Ace is his screenname online, he doesn't like going by his actual name anymore so much so that he's actually been known to forget it. When you have no one in your life to refer to you by it it isn't hard to believe it's possible to forget your name.

Ace's life took a change for the better after the events of “Episode 1: Ace's Dreams Come True!” where, well, his lifelong dreams came true!!!!! A close encounter with multiple aliens, and not only getting to talk to but befriend Sharon Suave? Ace truly was the luckiest boy on the face of the Earth that day. Throughout the series Ace's social awkwardness evolves gradually as he interacts more with the crew and his newfound friends, each who imbue new things into his life. Cephie, Squish and Tracie all live at Ace's home after the events of Episode 1.

Relationships to the crew?

 
He holds Cephie in the highest of regards and appreciates her the most out of the three aliens in the house. She is definitely the one he is closest to, for she is the one with a shred of intellect that actually can be projected. Ace and Cephie like to just sit and talk a lot most nights, she always has a new riveting tale to tell him from her military career and he always listens wide-eyed and amazed always wanting more. Because of this Cephie really likes Ace as well but it is indeterminate whether she favors him over Sharon. She really respects Ace and finds him to be a good kid, smart and handsome but is nonetheless a tad disgusted by his prior shut-in lifestyle.

 
He really enjoys Tracie's company but can be annoyed by him a lot for many reasons. For one Tracie's hyperactive and rambunctious demeanor ends up causing a lot of issues in and around the house like messes that he has to clean up, Tracie loses a lot of Ace's belongings and has a tendency to break or steal things from Ace to use in his inventions. He also is frustrated by the fact that Tracie has just as many stories as Ceph to share and a wealth of information but he can't sit still long enough to just talk. Nonetheless Ace adores Tracie and sees him like an adopted little brother of sorts over time.

 
Squish, Ace just loves Squish. He gave up trying to learn from her within the first three months of living together, he just realized the futility of it. As such he doesn't have a long-standing frustration with her like he does with Tracie. Sometimes it seems Ace likes to be around her solely because it makes him feel a bit smarter, a bit conceited and selfish I know but at the same time he is patient with her which is more than most of the crew can say and he treats her very kindly. He's probably the only member of the crew that really treats Squish with the royal status she holds. Squish really likes Ace too,  one of her favorite things to do with him is watch movies!... As long as the movie is HER pick, she doesn't like the obscure, slow paced and foreign films Ace loves so much. Unfortunately for Ace she prefers romantic comedies and hollywood and Trawlywood (alien Hollywood) blockbusters.

 
Lastly, his relationship with Sharon. His crush just gets deeper and deeper the farther the series progresses. The two never really even talked before Episode 1 and Sharon probably didn't even pay him any heed, only knowing him as that guy you can ask for the answers on a test. On the fateful day of meeting the aliens the two just so happened to have been paired together for a homework assignment, they were constantly bickering and angry with each other, at least Sharon was angry at him Ace was just too scared to interact coherently with her. After the adventure of Episode 1 and meeting Cephie Squish and Tracie Sharon just kept coming back to Ace's house on a daily basis and their friendship bloomed. Sharon is the person Ace spends the most time with now, and they have gotten to know each other very personally.
