_{I can't believe I am even uploading this ugly thing hahaha...}

During my absence I tried to branch out and use mediums I ain't really accustomed to. And none, NONE have ever been so toxic to me than the dreaded watercolors... I ain't kidding there really ain't anything art related I couldn't stand more than watercolors my entire life, every time I had ever been tasked to dabble with them in grade school my end products would ALWAYS be almost entirely crumpled up water damaged paper with a faint hue, essentially I couldn't even manage to ever get COLOR to come out of my Watercolors haha! But I finally sat down, gave it a real go and tried to make something. And THIS is what I have to show for it HAHAHA

I KNOW IT'S BORING it's bland it's literally just a simple character sketch with basic coloring but dear god am I proud of myself given the extent f my watercolor abilities before this! Especially the fact that I managed to stay within lines I didn't think that was even possible, I thought this medium was supposed to steal every bit of control over your art from you hahaha! Sadly, I cannot for the life of me manage to get this thing to transfer digitally well. Like my scanner just desTROYS it, and I tried and tried to take pictures of it but the colors get so messed up no matter what lighting I put it in I can't figure out why haha, so her dress is NOT that highlighter yellow in actuality! There's also some actual SHADING on this thing but it doesn't seem to pick up either.

So sorry dear Queenie for subjecting you to medium experimentation! I am happy to confess that ever since making this little thing I have really come to love and get excited by watercolors, and hope to try to improve with it. I actually like it more than Acrylics now I think! Never thought I'd hear myself say that, so it'll be interesting to see how future watercolor paintings will grow from this. Thanks for looking!
