_{STEP INTO IT}   

I finally watched Dragon Ball GT for the first time ever. And I am so, so glad I did. It's been a mystical adventure, a fantastic journey of my dreams I loved it LOVED IT AH GT IS SO GOOD SO SO GOOD. When I was a kid, and GT first aired on Toonami, I HATED IT I remember only watching one episode (all I remember is it was about Baby) and I just couldn't stand it compared to DB and Z, I don't know why, but because of that I never gave it a chance as a child. Honestly, I am glad I did. Getting to watch GT now in it's proper format with the japanese audio (dub though) and with all of the episodes actually shown, it was incredible. I LOVE IT WITH ALL MY DAN DAN KOKORO

I really don't get the hate the fans give GT, like at all. The entire run of the show was great, there was never once a dull moment or episode, it's amazing how cohesive the entire series felt, a perfect mesh of the adventure roots of Dragon Ball with the, uh, shonen tropes haha of Z. I'm not exaggerating when I say that season 1 of DB GT might be the most engaged I've ever been watching a series in my life, it was literally perfect to me, if anything the only flaw I could find is the grand tour through space didn't last long enough I was so worried it was going to come to a close! But Baby's assault on Earth was a magnificently engaging segue and I wasn't bothered at all, even the low-point of the show (Super 17 Saga) was still great, and once again a great way to make the show a tribute of sorts to Dragon Ball as a whole while being magnificently unique and entertaining and creative. Seeing so many old forgotten faces show up like Android 8 and Major Metallitron just brought such a smile to my face! The whole show was rife with moments like that, it's the most comfortable show I can think of and it makes me so happy just thinking of GT. The soundtrack, the characters, it's Dragon Ball concluded right, I've always hated how Z chose to finish the series off. Though GT's ending is similar it's handled much more tactfully, and beautifully, so beautiful that when the montage began at the end of the final episode I just started crying like a baby, Dragon Ball, Z, and GT, it's been a huge part of my life and one I'm glad to finally have fully gone through to the end. I love Dragon Ball GT...

I basically have everybody from the show in here, barring exceptions like all the old villains in Hell for example. I wanted to make it like a visual plot map of the series, start from the bottom of the page with Ultimate Shenron making Goku into a child again, then follow the dragon through the grand tour of space, a stop at Imecka with Don Kee and Ledgic, go to Gelbo with Zoonama shakin up some trouble, Mouma and the Para Para Brothers lead us to Monmaasu where the friendly Giant (I LOVE HIM SO MUCH) is enjoying the alien lilliputians, go to Planet Luud where Mutchy Mutchy and Dolltaki grow their cult to power the evil Lord Luud, then finally we blast into Planet M2, where we confront Dr. Myuu's sinister Machine Mutant army. The Sigma Force, General Rildo, and Myuu himself there. Myuu's ultimate creation and master himself, Baby then rears his ugly head, or Vegeta's giant forehead we should say. He's monkeyin' around, with Super Saiyan 4 Goku. The gates of Hell then open themselves above Earth and the New Tuffle Planet, CAN YOU NAME ALL THIRTEEN DRAGON BALL VILLAINS IN HELL?? Then lastly, the Shadow Dragons begin their devastation of the Planet Earth, with the final boss, Omega Shenron himself front and center ready to taint the entire universe himself with his negative poison.

I have been holding off for months from drawing anything related to GT, I was so in love with the series right from the first episode that I knew something special was going to come out of my for it once I finished the series. Initially, I was to make this same drawing as a collab with chanchimi but because of reasons I ended up just tackling this drawing all by myself _{(BUT keep an eye out for a GT collab from us in the future adklsfmldsfk)}  Until then, check out my tribute drawing to the Frieza Saga if you haven't!!

 

I seriously could gush nonstop about GT forever here, (lord knows some people have had to deal with that from me for months now) but I'll leave it as is. I hope there are other GT fans here on DA, and if you're not in the party that likes GT I hope you can at least still enjoy this piece. I'm sorry that you've been treated pretty rough even from the get-go GT, consider this a gift from me to you for all the joy you gave me as a series.
