Prince Quash

A, relatively! Newer character to Astronautical, Prince Quash!

As important as the Crabulon Empire is I really haven't expounded upon them very much at all here, and it's going to be some time before their presence really is felt in the comics themself, so I think I'll share some info about them in the coming months. Starting with this loser!!!!!!


Prince Quash is the eldest son of the current Imperial Royal Family; the brother to Princess Crush, and the little ones Raze and Ruin. His father is Emperor Maul the supreme ruler of all conquered star systems under Crabulon control.

Emperor Maul is relatively peaceful and kinder than his forefathers, he still is an oppressive tyrant, but he no longer conquers and wages war upon planets other than cold war-esque tactics to save face before his people. His father though, and Quash's grandfather, Emperor Wrack was the total opposite. A cold-hearted and callous conqueror who brought over a dozen planets to their knees and added multiple species into the Empire's rankings. Wrack is to date one of the most infamous of the Crabulon Emperor's the universe over, and is the primary reason the Crabulons have such a bad reputation to everybody.

Prince Quash even as a young child was a very controlling and aggressive individual, and as he grew older and realized he would be next in line to the throne he dreamed of how he would rule in his father's stead. Quash was sickened by what he saw as weakness and frailty in his father Maul, and vowed he'd bring the glory days of the Empire back once he ruled as his grandfather once had. The royal bloodline is strong, however, and the Imperial family members are very long-lived, Emperor Maul is already many hundreds of years old and can still be considered young, Quash couldn't take this wait any longer standing by and began to amass an underground following to bring his father down. He'd gained over 300 Crabulon people to join his coupe against his father, and began his assault, it didn't go so well, and Quash found himself along with his band of soldiers beaten, almost entirely by the hand of the Emperor alone. Saddened by his son's betrayal, Maul had no choice other than to get rid of Quash, but Maul is a very loving father, and couldn't bring himself to actually kill his first-born child. Instead he incapacitated Quash, had him thrown into a garbage chute and secretly kept alive with oxygen reserves. Quash lived to see another day, but he'd lost all he ever had in just one day. His family, his royalty, and his place as a Crabulon, he'd been excommunicated from the Empire and would never be allowed to come back and his father broke off all contact with him.

Quash didn't give up however, he just retooled his ambitions. Forget about the pre-existing Empire! Why even bother... It'd been tainted by his father's claws anyways, no he'd begin a New Crabulon Empire with him at the lead! Quash had over 150 remaining loyal Crabulon subjects to his cause, and his own personal royal space cruiser which became the moving capital of the New Empire. With his loyal crew, and his well equipped craft Quash would conquer planets just as his ancestors once did, he'd rule the UNIVERSE!!!!!!!.................

He sucks at it.

In the current day, the total amount of planets and races conquered by Prince Quash is in the single digits. A WHOPPING ZERO! He's a loser, a horrible leader. He mostly mopes around feeling sorry for himself if he isn't wasting time reading or watching stupid things, procrastinating on his conquering aspirations, saying 'he'll do it tomorrow' every night. His ship feels less like a war-room and capital-city these days and more like a fraternity. Quash isn't very nice to his followers either, he bullied most every female out of the ranks ages ago, and his inability to do anything right has caused most all of his remaining followers to drop out and abandon him, every other month Quash' follower count seems to drop, and is down to thirty in the present state. He hasn't given up though, his royal brattiness still believes the universe is rightfully his, and.. 'actively', continues his reign of.. 'terror'.


Prince Quash despite his rough n' tough looking appearance and personality is honestly a real sissy, and push-over, he was always bullied by his sister Crush when they were younger. He's considered incredibly handsome, and all female Crabulons seem to collectively swoon before him... Unfortunately for them, such feelings will forever remain unreciprocated because the Prince is, well, gay. Very, very gay. His sexual orientation bleeds into his air-headed imaginative self too, he never seems to really live in reality, for example THIS is how he sees his royal crew members.. Quashfantasy And considering the way he acts around girls, he probably sees them as monsters. He's very mean and is a control-freak probably to hide how he really is. Frankly the delusions of bringing the glory days of the Empire back might just be him trying to compensate for his pathetic personality.

His favorite song is Princes of the Universe and because he's not very creative he chose it to be the anthem of the New Empire.. He usually is seen air-guitaring while expecting the others to stand at attention and salute. youtu.be/zZ1WyBGG_Vw?t=1m11s



You'll see another Quash piece really really soon!! Other than that, I think the next Crabulon related thing I'll draw is a good reference for Princess Crush, she sadly doesn't have anything of that sort yet! And after that, maybe some stuff to expound upon the inner workings of the Empire itself.
