Mrs Suave

Mother's Day was yesterday, so I figured it'd finally be a good time to post this thingie that's been sitting around in my files for months now! XD She look familiar? Well that's probably for a reason, say hi to Sharon's Mom!

But you can call her Sheryl, Sheryl Suave. Could there be a cooler name.

I've been struggling to think of designs and personalities for Sharon's mom and dad for a looooong long time now, unlike Ace's parents (that's a sad and stupid story XD We'll get to that one eventually adsklflmdlfk) Sharon's mother and father actually are still around, still live with her, and actually make appearances in future comics and episodes and Sheryl especially is gonna have some important moments of her own. I'm real sad that I only came up with a final design and personality for her about two months ago though, since I totally could have given her an actual on-page appearance in this page of Episode 4 if I had it at the time! X__X

Guess her first canon appearance will always be remembered as a screaming word bubble that's hard to read it's so erratic, sounds about right for her though.


Sheryl's real young still and acts it; she honestly acts more like a teenage girl than her actual teenage girl daughter does. She is always happy and excited and bouncy and never ever shuts up, she's extremely fun loving, it's a fun contrast considering her husband John is the exact opposite, he's stoic quiet and doesn't ever say or do much at all. They seem to balance each other out that way, despite his personality Sheryl loves him more than anything in the world and is happy as can be with their marriage. They met in high school and got married right after graduation, Sharon was born not too shortly after.

Since she stuck with her high school sweetheart she's extremely encouraging of Sharon's crush on Ace when she eventually learns of it and both tries to help steer her into the relationship and getting past Ace's horrible obliviousness to Sharon's flirting and advances but also likes to tease Sharon about it constantly. And that's something Sheryl just revels in, teasing others. She's constantly playing pranks and mocking people, one of her favorite activities is stealing Sharon's clothing and trying to pretend to be her and talk to her friends and stuff at school to make Sharon confused when she interacts with those people again and has no clue about the stuff they are talking about that they did with 'her' prior.

Despite the fact that she's a tease she really is good-hearted and doesn't like to hurt people, Sheryl's insanely accepting of just about anything and everyone. Fun example is how she thinks Tracie's a transgender and is always referring to him as a female, despite the fact that he's a male and is not transgender, her husband sees it and is always like "Honey I think that's a bo-" "SHUSH if she wants to be a girl we have no right to call her otherwise!" Yeah she's not too bright HAHAHA but she does all she can to help others, she works for the town newspaper specifically the help and life advice column. She runs two jobs though, the other being a roller girl waitress at one of the diners in town. Three jobs even if you count being a stay-at-home mom like she does. When Sheryl eventually meets the main crew she takes to liking Squish and Cephie the most.
